Dorothy Harrington

Dorothy Louise (Skoog) Harrington, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct 3, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct 7, 2011 at D. W. Newcomer's Sons, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence. Dorothy was born on Feb 24, 1920 and loved to sew, cross stitch and read. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Harrington, and a daughter, Judy L Chadwick. Her survivors include daughter, Donna Clark (Richard B) and sons, Bob Harrington and Mike Harrington. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to City Union Mission.
