Dorothy M. MacGill of Overland Park, KS passed away June 19, 2012. Dorothy was born in St. Louis, MO on December 5, 1921 to Olinda and Charles Johnson. She had 2 sisters, Ruth Vogel and Edith Johnson of St. Louis, and a brother, Charles Johnson. She attended Welston High School and later received an associate degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1947, Dorothy married Donald G. MacGill, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2003. She and Don had 3 sons, Timothy, Steve, and David. After raising her children, Dorothy worked as a unit secretary for St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, participating in the Senior Choir and a variety of other volunteer opportunities. In addition, she was a loving grandmother to 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 6:30 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Overland Park, KS.
