DOROTHY LORAINE (STUBBS) WOODHEAD, 101, Overland Park, KS passed away 9th of April 2013 at Delmar Gardens of Overland Park.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 5th at Community of Christ Church, 79th & Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Mission Road Community of Christ Church.
Mrs. Woodhead was born March 8, 1912 in Kansas City, KS. Dorothy was married for 39 years to Clarence Woodhead. She was raised and attended school in Muncie, KS. She was a life-long active member of the Community of Christ Church (RLDS). She has lived for the past 12 years at Delmar Gardens of Overland Park after suffering a stroke. She loved bingo, poker, and sharing stories from her life with others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Woodhead; brother, Mahlon Stubbs; and parents, Everett & Lula Belle Stubbs.
She is survived by her children, Alice Hughes, Jack C. Woodhead, John Woodhead and Arlene Leonard; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; plus several step great grandchildren; and a few step great-great grandchildren.
