Doug was born to Robert and Jean Fink on March 13,1953. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Kansas State University in 1976. Doug served in public relations at the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and then Sprint Corporation. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steve. He leaves his sister-in-law Kathy Fink and nephews Matthew Fink and Ryan Fink.

At Doug's request, there will be no public service. Please direct any memorial donations to University of Kansas Cancer Center or Asbury United Methodist Church.
