Dr. E.C. "Clint" Prowell, 82, of Overland Park, KS passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Born March 25, 1930 in Harrisburg, MO, Clint was a Chiropractor in Kansas City, MO for 35 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean war, a former instructor at Cleveland Chiropractic College, a member of United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, and longtime horse enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his mother Genelle Mead Maupin and stepfather Ernie Maupin. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon; daughter Pam McWilliams, Parkville, MO; son Dr. Scott Prowell and wife Cynthia, Lenexa, KS; 5 grandchildren: Justin Prowell, Bryan Prowell, Kalyn McWilliams, Sadie Prowell, and Emma Prowell. Known for loyalty to his family and friends, he was a model of integrity, with a quick wit and zest for life. He will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew him.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 11 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation 6:00 pm with a memorial service at 7:00 pm. Contributions can be made to the Cleveland Chiropractic College Success Strategies Program.
