Eddie R. Maag, 79, passed away in his home in Prairie Village on Thursday, March 26, 2009.
Visitation to be held Tuesday, March 31, 6-8pm at DW Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park; funeral at 10am Wednesday, April 1 at the funeral home; military gravesite following.
Born in Topeka, KS January 18, 1930 to Newell P. and Kathryn L. Maag. Primarily grew up in Pratt, Kansas. Graduated in 1948 from Pratt HS. Attended Kansas University; graduated in 1954 w/ BS in Architecture. Served 21 years in US Marine Corps w/ two tours in Vietnam.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother and one son. Survived by former wife, Julie York; sister, Kathryn Harrison; son, Bruce (Denise); two daughters, Sally Neal (Chuck), and Kathy Warring (Bill); 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great-grandson.
