Edgar "Ed" Henderson

Edgar “Ed” W. Henderson, 94, Overland Park, KS, passed away on June 22, 2018.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, service 11 AM, on Thursday, June 28, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. Burial will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.

Edgar was born September 15, 1923 in Kansas City, KS to E.F. and Josephine Henderson. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy. He met and married Alogene Walker in 1945. They had three children; Vicki Henderson, Colleen Henderson, and Sharon Rawson.

He was a member of the Nall Ave Baptist Church for many years. He was an usher at church, a member of the IAM (International Association of Mechanists) Local 1615 and belonged to Masonic Lodge 369.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Colleen; brother, Harry; and two sisters, Melba Rogers and Hazel Green.

Edgar is survived by his wife, Alogene; daughters, Vicki Henderson and Sharon Rawson; brother, Jerry Henderson; and two granddaughters, Blair and Sadie Rawson.
