Edith C. "Chris" Hays, 75, Kansas City, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Visitation will begin an hour prior to services in the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
Chris was born in 1933 near Hulbert, OK, the 11th of 14 children. She moved to Kansas City in 1950. She worked for Federal Aviation Agency and General Services Administration for 18 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on Dec. 31, 2002; parents; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters. Survivors include daughters; Pamela Johnson and Anita Lantz and husband Cliff; grandsons, Ryan, Eric, and Michael Grady, and Nathan Lantz; granddaughter, Julie Mitchell; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Shields, Virginia Onorato, and Erma Lannen.
