Edith Marie Huhs, 87, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on May 17, 2021.
Visitation, Friday May 21, 2021, 9:00 am @ Johnson County Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at same location @ 10:00 am.

Edith was born July 8, 1933 to Clifford and Josephine Tenpenny of
Williamstown, Ks. She married Gerald Huhs May 1, 1953 and relocated to
Overland Park, Ks. In 1958. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 46
years, Gerald Huhs, her sisters Cleta McCombs and Iris Huhs, and a daughter
Cathy Cline. She is survived by a brother, Clifford (Mike) Tenpenny,
2 sisters, Darlene Gibson and Mae Stover, 4 children, Lynn, Kevin, Darren,
And Lori Yarbrough. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Edith worked at Shawnee Mission North H.S. in food service for 21 years.
She was also a volunteer at Shawnee Mission Medical Center for many
years and received an award in 1998 for volunteer of the Year!
She and her husband Gerald were members of Community Covenant Church
where they were active and she participated in the choir.
Edith was an avid KC Sports fan. She loved going to Royals games, especially
with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother,
and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed!
