Edmund T. Walsh, 92, Olathe, KS passed away on his birthday September 28, 2017. Ed was born in Wichita, KS on September 28, 1925 to Edmund Thomas and Nora Frances (Parkin) Walsh.
Ed proudly served his country in World War II, he was in the US Navy, Radioman 2nd class.
He married his sweetheart Betty Jo on March 4, 1946. They were blessed with four children. Ed had a 40-year long career at Honeywell as an Engineering Technologist.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sr. Mary Patricia Walsh; daughter, Pamela Jean; son-in-law, Donald Smith; daughter-in-law, Susan Walsh and grandson, Joshua Walsh.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Betty; daughter, Patricia Smith; sons, Edmund III & Robin Walsh, Steven Walsh; grandchildren, Jacqueline Smith, Jeff & Paula Smith, Chris & Katherine Jesmore, Nathan & Melissa Jesmore, Zach Walsh; great-grandchildren, Kathleen, Rob, Amanda and Mason.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, October 2nd with services starting at 7:00 pm both held at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 3rd at the Resurrection Cemetery, 8321 Quivira, Lenexa, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 11267 Strang Line Road, Lenexa, KS 66215 or Villa St. Francis, 16600 West 126th Street, Olathe, KS 66062. The family is grateful for all of their assistance.
