Edward L Major, born April 1, 1924, to parents Lucy Pearl (Gallup) Major and Harry A Major in Springfield, IL. Ed passed away April 22, 2012 at the Age of 88 years and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and only sister.
Ed was raised on a farm in Nebraska and attended school in Fullerton, NE. He graduated and stayed on the farm until age 19 when the family moved to Omaha, NE. For a time he worked for Safeway Store and then went to work for Standard Blue and learned the trade of repairing survey transit. He worked there until retirement.
He and Bonnie Langdale were married in November of 1979.
Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Coeur d' Alene, ID where they resided the rest of his life. He was a member of the Nazarene church in Omaha and was active there, driving a Sunday school bus for several years. Upon moving he became a member of the Coeur d' Alene Nazarene church. For several years after retirement he did wood working, made many things and sold them at craft fairs. He enjoyed working in his yard with beautiful flowers and a nice garden ever year.
He is survived by his wife.
