Eleanor "Ann" Miller, 92, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 at home with family.
Ann was born to Dr. P.W. and Helen Allen on January 22, 1922. She grew up in Grove City, PA and graduated from Grove City High School and went on to receive her B.A. from Grove City College. Ann started her professional career teaching high school Spanish and French. She retired from General Electric where she received several awards for her work in inside sales.
She loved music, dancing, movies and theatre. Ann was a proud member of Happy Hoofers dance troupe. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends and family. She is survived by her children: Kim Long of Baltimore, MD and Suzanne Clock (Ed) of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren: Jennifer Nash (Paul), Mike McNellis, Patric McNellis (Kim) and five great grandchildren; Summer Grace, Claire Elizabeth, Jack Patric, Natalie Hope , and Chase Lawrence. Her laughter and positive outlook will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. In lieu of flowers, Ann requested donations to Planned Parenthood. Assistance by Funeral Advocates, LLC.
