Mrs. Eleanor Stump

Eleanor M. Stump, 83, Lee's Summit, MO went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 16, 2013. A funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. The family will receive friends at 9:30 am before the service hour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation , www.komenkansascity.org Eleanor was born in North Platte, NE to Perry and Mary Funk. She attended the Chillicothe Business School where she met and married Robert Stump in 1951. Eleanor was dedicated to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Stump was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Elsie Ann Funk. Survivors include her daughter, Debra S. Barnes and her husband Ted; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; her brother, Bud Funk and his wife Marilyn; and several nieces and nephews.
