Elinor Hermansen

Elinor C. Hermansen, 90, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Cure’ of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, Kansas.  Visitation will take place prior to the Mass at 10:30 a.m.  The family suggests contributions to Cure’ of Ars Catholic Church or Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation , 230 East Ohio St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL  60611.  Elinor was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 9, 1931 to Andrew Paul Kralick and Sophia Angela Bilpusch.  She married Walter S. Hermansen on May 19, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA.  Elinor was a very active, positive presence whether she was volunteering in her church, playing bridge or tennis.  She was also a very proud mother, grandmother and friend.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her five siblings, Edward, Gene, Ernie, Elaine and Erline “Bunky”.  Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cathy Hermansen of Lenexa; son Eric Hermansen of Ottawa; and granddaughter Lauren Hermansen and fiancé Logan Schultz; and grandson Michael Hermansen.
