Mrs. Elizabeth / Liz McKay

Ruth (Liz) McKay passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, from cancer and is now with her son, Alan. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kan. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. Friday at the chapel prior to the graveside services. Ruth retired from the Shawnee Mission School District after 25 years. She worked part-time for the Olathe School District as a school aide for five years. She was a longtime member of Countryside Christian Church. Ruth is survived by her husband, Michael, of the home; daughter Michele Gray of the home; grandchildren Chris and Alley Franklin of the home; step- grandchildren Brook, Brandy and Harley Gray, and great-grandchild Chase Miller, all of Akron, Ohio, and sister Martha Bell of St. Charles, Mo.
