Erma Gaddy

Mission

Erma Lea Gaddy of Mission, Kansas, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Jessie “Gene” Gaddy, her daughter Pamela Gaddy, and Grandson, James Todd Gaddy.

Erma was born in Houston, Missouri on March 19, 1927. She grew up in Houston and moved to Kansas City as a young lady to find work where she met and fell in love with her dance partner, and love of her life, Gene Gaddy. They were married on Valentines Day in 1948.

Erma and Gene raised three children together, Janet, Steve, and Pamela, in Kansas City. Erma was very involved in her Baptist Church and was strong in her religious beliefs.

Mrs. Gaddy was a devoted wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She had 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. She had a special bond with each of her Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren and they were a huge blessing to her and her to them.

Erma was passionate about her garden and cooking for anyone that came to her home. Her life was centered around her family and her faith.

She will be dearly missed, but knowing she is back with the love of her life gives her remaining family peace in this time of mourning.

We love you Fluffy Grandma, Great Grandma, Great Grandma, Wife, and Mother.
