Trudie Hansen, age 91, Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
Trudie was born June 13, 1916 to William and Rosella (Hughes) Fritz in Winnebago, Nebraska and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She was a life member of Kansas City Young Matrons and a 60 year-member of Milburn Country Club. She was an active member in her church, and many social groups. Trudie was as strong and graceful as they come, dearly loved by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, a much adored great-grandmother. She was an avid golfer and sports fan, prolific gardener, and lived every day to its fullest -never slowing down for a second. Trudie will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Norman Hansen. Trudie is survived by her loving family including her son, Richard Hansen and wife Jill of Shawnee, KS; grandchildren, Michael Hansen of London, England, Kristin Wood and husband Justin of Shawnee, KS; great-grandchildren, Miles Wood (10) and Olivia Wood (7); plus many, many special friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 14th at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Road. A gathering of family and friends will be held 9:00 ? 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church preceding the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Trudie?s name be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church.
