Esther Corfiatis, 80, Overland Park, Kansas passed away Friday, February 23, 2007.
Esther was born July 29, 1926 to August & Angeline Mirly. Growing up in Shawneetown, Missouri she was second to the youngest of 12 children. She married Tony Corfiatis May 15, 1948. They were happily married for 43 years. They were in the bowling business together for many years. Upon retirement they moved to Overland Park in 1986. A follower of Christ, she was a dedicated member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and would go out of her way to help anyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tony in 1991 and 7siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; daugther, Loretta and husband Rob White of Leawood, Kansas; son Craig and wife Marla Corfiatis of Manteca, California; and daughter Connie and husband Dave Chambers of Aurora, Colorado; 6 grandchildren, Tanner, Carey, Lexie, Marissa, Cassie, and Kirk; and 4 siblings, Laura Mueller, Mildred Dost, Herb Mirly, and Jack Mirly.
Private graveside services were held Sunday, February 25, at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
