Esther Naomi Croy, 92, of Shawnee Mission, KS, passed away at 5:40am on Saturday, November 22, 2014.
Esther was born on December 18, 1921 to Otis and Ruth Hieronymus in Kansas City, KS. On June 13, 1941 she married Arthur Croy and they made their home in Shawnee Mission where they raised their children Dan and Elaine.
Esther was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. The focus of Esther’s life was serving the Lord with all her heart; she was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. Her dedication to the Lord was followed closely by the commitment and love for her husband. Art and Esther celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on June13, 2014.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Esther Elaine Croy Haughey and her brother Paul Hieronymus. She is survived by her husband, Art Croy; son Dan Croy, two sisters; Elizabeth Zacharias and Martha Hodges, Four Grandchildren; Kasey Johnson, Nathan Croy, John Haughey and Paul Haughey, along with 9 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 9am with visitation at 8:30am prior to the service on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS, 66210. Interment will be held at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
