Eugene F. Buell
Eugene F. Buell, 76, passed away peacefully February 14, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 20, 1930 in Windsor, Missouri to Carl and Neosha Buell.
Gene and his wife, Vera, shared over 28 years of marriage before his death. Gene was a member of First Assembly of God of Independence. He enjoyed several hobbies, including bowling, fishing, and gardening. Gene took great pride in his flowers and green grass. Gene loved Charlie Pride and would frequently travel with Vera to Charlie's shows. Many vacations were spent with friends and family. Gene's favorite vacation spot was Yellowstone.
Gene retired from United Transport. Previously he was employed by King Radio. Gene also owned Buell Lawn and Tree Service.
Gene was preceded in death by his father, Carl Buell and sister, June Patton. He is survived by his wife, Vera Buell, of the home, mother, Neosha Buell, daughter Debbie Jones and husband Ron, son Mark Buell and daughter Tammy Jones, sister Janet and husband John Palmquist; stepchildren Karen Pener and her husband Steve, Nancy Kimrey and her husband Jim Barrows and Greg Rice and his wife Kim. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, plus nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of wonderful friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
