EUGENE "GENE" WILLIAM ROLFE, 81 of Blue Springs, MO, formerly of South St. Louis, MO died Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at North Kansas City Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Thursday , January 4, 2007, at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, Blue Springs, MO. Visitation will be from 1:00 until Mass time at the church on Thursday. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2007, at Mount Hope Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. John LaLande Catholic Church, or to the Eugene James Rolfe Memorial Fund c/o
Gene was born July 20, 1925, in St. Louis to Alfred and Mary Rolfe. He was a purchasing agent for State Pipe Co., retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, South St. Louis and St. John La Lande Catholic Church. He attended Vesper Hall and was a member of the Site Council.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Cooper) Rolfe and his son Eugene James Rolfe.
He is survived by his grandsons: Eric Eugene Rolfe, Kansas City, MO and Paul Andrew Rolfe, Lake Winnebago, MO; his daughter-in-law: Kathy Rolfe, Lake Winnebago, MO and many friends
