Evelyn Louis Simmons
Evelyn Louis Simmons, age 94, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012. A visitation will be held from 11 – 12 noon Sunday, October 14, 2012 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Mesa, Arizona.
Evelyn was born July 10, 1918 in Lone Jack, MO. She was born to Louis and Hazel Keller in 1918 and adopted by Ernest and Anna Keller in 1920. Evelyn was employed by the Social Security Administration for 30 years. She and her husband retired in AZ in 1984. She loved traveling, animals and her family.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband James R. Simmons and two granddaughters Trish and Amy. Survivors include 1 son, James L. Simmons of Bozeman, Montana, 1 daughter, Norma D. Tucker of Leawood, KS, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and several cousins.
