Mrs. Evelyn Vogan

April 26, 1932 — January 3, 2016

Evelyn Jane Vogan, was born April 26, 1932, in Kansas, to Stanely and Stella Vogan. She was one of ten children, who are all deceased, except for one sister, Janette Michaels. Jane grew up in Bonner Springs, Kansas and married in 1948. This union produced four children; Michael Dean Vogan, Connie Jane Phillips, Karen Joyce Phillips, and James Albert Phillips III. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Jane worked hard as a single mom and in 1991 was blessed with the love of her life, Charlie Richards. They were married until she went home to be with the lord.

Jane was a hard worker all of her life and was always on the go. She worked until she was almost 70 years old. She loved old music and country music, especially Willie Nelson. She liked to travel and LOVED to shop.

She was the strongest, most stubborn, head strong woman we’ve ever known. We will miss the little spitfire she was and Charlie will deeply miss his “Silly Little Blonde”, but we’re all so grateful that her suffering has ended.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home and Catholic
Community Hospice for their wonderful care and making her passing so comfortable and peaceful. You are truly God’s angels on earth.
