Evelyn M. Young, age 81, of Overland Park, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. She was born on April 8, 1929 in Stanford, NE, the daughter of Mary M. (Hanson) and Alfred W. Young. Evelyn had a fond love for her cats.
Survivors include her sister, Ruth Schwabauer of Overland Park and her 14 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Florence Prusha and Dorothy Flint and one brother, Alfred Young, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7851 West 119th Street, Overland Park. Visitation will be held at 11:30 until time of service. Burial will be held at a later date in the Herman Cemetery, Herman, NE. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice, 10100 W 87th St # 100, Overland Park 66212.
