Floyd (LaVern) Baston, 83, Overland Park, Kansas passed away June 11, 2008 at Sunrise of Lenexa.
Floyd was born near Farlinville, KS and lived in the Greater Kansas City area most of his life. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Floyd worked 40 years for General Motors, before retiring in 1987.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eileen; 2 daughters, Marsha Kay (Bill) Beggs, Overland Park, KS and Diane (K.W.) Janne, Madison, N.J.; 2 brothers, Chester Baston, Pleasanton, KS, Leslie Baston, Camdenton, MO; 2 sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Troth, Pleasanton, KS; Mrs. Ronald (Ione) Pearson, Leesburg, IN; and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 16, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service times. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum, 83rd and Quivira Rd., Lenexa, KS.
