Mr. Floyd Good
June 23, 1930 — June 9, 2007
Floyd D. Good, age 76 of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on June 9, 2007 at home. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14th at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, Shawnee, Kansas.
Floyd was born at the 101 ranch in Ponca City, Oklahoma where his grandmother Kysar lived. He grew up on the family farm in Woodward County. Floyd at a very young age worked hard and gained respect and friendship from many. He worked for many years with the Santa Fe Railroad in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Kansas, advancing to Roadmaster. After his retirement with the Santa Fe, he continued to work for several years for JC Penney. He loved woodworking, making furniture, and sitting over a cup of coffee sharing stories of the past.
Preceding Floyd in death were his wife Margaret, son Tommie, grandson Joshua, and his second wife Mary. Survivors include his son Mack; his wife Ladelle and grandson Joey Good; daughter Bonnie and her husband Danny; two additional grandsons, Daniel and Brent Brockhaus; granddaughter Rebecca (daughter of Tommie); and great-granddaughter Brittany Rose Good. Also surviving Floyd are 3 step-children, Teddi Bukovaz, Joe Perry, and Kathy Blaylock; 7 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; brother, D.J. Good; 2 sisters, Mabel Clothier, Flora O?Connor; and many nieces and nephews.
Floyd, our father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, stepfather, and friend will be celebrating his 77th birthday June 23, 2007 in heaven with his Lord Jesus Christ, and his passing family members and old friends. What a party they will have!
