Frances Newcomer Durham

Frances ?Jane? Newcomer Durham, 87, of Overland Park, Kansas, went home to the Lord peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2008.
Jane was born on February 25, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David W. Newcomer, Jr. She was a lifelong resident of the area and loyal supporter of her alma mater, The University of Kansas ?Jayhawks? along with Kansas City Royals baseball.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard M. Durham, Sr. Always a loving and caring mother and grandmother, Jane is survived by her children: Richard M. Durham II of Camdenton, Missouri, David W. Durham and his wife Mary of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Donald D. Durham and his wife Denise of Overland Park, Kansas, and F. Jane Durham O?Donnell, M.D. and her husband Matt of Carlsbad, California and her grandchildren Teigen, Liam and Carrick O?Donnell.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 3:00-5:00 PM at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas followed by the rosary at 5:00 PM. A private mass will be held at Jane?s request with interment at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer?s Association or American Diabetes Association.
