Francis (Frank) H. Fiedler, Overland Park, Kan., passed away Monday, December 24, 2007.
Mr. Fiedler was born July 30, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., to Herman and Edith Fiedler. He was a veteran of WWII and served with the U.S. Army Signal Corp. and 8th Air Force in Great Britain, France, Belgium and Germany from 1942-1946. He was a member of the American Legion Post 327, Shawnee, Kan. Frank had many friends at the various senior center dances in the area, especially Mrs. Elsie Jennings. Throughout his life, he worked as a CPA and Computer Specialist with various companies. He supervised the largest computer accounting system at KU Medical Center, where he retired in April 1986 after 25 years of services.
Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Martin, Kansas City, Mo., three children: Diana Koska, Lenexa, Kan., Deborah Baughman, Olathe, Kan., and Glenn Fiedler, Kansas City, Kan., two grandsons, three great granddaughters and two great grandsons.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 28, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to KU Cancer Center, c/o KU Endowment.
