Frank Mitchell

Frank E. Mitchell, 64, of Overland Park, Kansas, was born December 10, 1956 and died December 30, 2020. His parents were Frankie E. Mitchell and Geraldine Hurst. He graduated from Westport High School and attended University of Missouri at K.C. He joined the US Postal Service in 1974 and retired with over 42 years’ service. He enjoyed playing all sports, especially basketball. He faithfully served in the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch #30. He was preceded in death by his father (Frankie Mitchell), and by his brother (Stanley). He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Susan (Klinginsmith); mother, (Geraldine); sister Marilyn Rodriguez; brother Elias (Lico) Rodriguez; daughters, Audrey (Casey) Wilkerson and Tara Mitchell (Andy Druen); and grandchildren, Ryan and Stella. Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and we cherish the memories. We shall meet again.

A private Memorial Service for immediate family members will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Private interment will follow. Due to the current COVID-19, all immediate family members attending the memorial are asked to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
