Freda Bledsoe, 71, Overland Park, Kansas passed away December 6, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 9, 2014 with Pastor Jack Heaston of Legacy Christian Church officiating at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas. A gathering of family and friends will begin an hour prior to the service, also in the chapel. Interment will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of gifts, memorial contributions are suggested to Legacy Fellowship PO Box 12533 Overland Park, KS 66282. This will honor Freda’s desire to support her son’s ministry in Niger.
Freda was born May 20, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Kansas City. She was married to Lloyd H. Bledsoe, Jr. Freda was a member of Legacy Christian Church in Overland Park. She was one of the most hospitable people that one would ever know; she enjoyed taking care of others. She adored her family especially her grandchildren, Isaac and Nathan.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Sara Hoffman and husband, Lloyd. Left to carry on Freda’s memory is her son, Bernie and his wife Kelly; and two grandchildren, Isaac and Nathan.
