Freida Hunt

Freida Hunt was born May 15, 1914 at her grandmother’s home in Pomona, KS. At the age of 105 she went to be with our Lord on September 30, 2019.

She was preceded in death by husband Orval Hunt, Son Don Hunt, Infant granddaughter, Penny Hunt, her parents Andrew Foster and Clara (Little) Foster, her siblings Lois Perrin, Kansas City, MO, Eleanor Berry, Rich Hill, MO infant sister, Clara Etta Forest, Pomona, KS, brother Gordon Foster, Nisswa, MN.

She leaves two surviving children, Shirley (Hunt) Dougan, Olathe, KS, Clifford Hunt and wife, Cherry (Dougan) Hunt, Gardner, KS and daughter-in-law, Joyce (Hughes) Hunt, Louisburg, KS.

Freida loved and was very proud of her 10 grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and all of her nieces and nephews.

She married Orval Hunt on Aug. 5, 1938. She lived her early years in Kansas City, MO moving with Orval and family to Stanley, KS in 1954. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, quilting and working jig saw puzzles. She also taught children’s Sunday School. She later moved to Overland Park, KS with Orval, living her last 12 years of her life with her daughter in Olathe, KS.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm Friday October 4, 2019 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel and a Graveside service will be held at 2 pm Friday Oct. 4, 2019 at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
