Freida Ann Meek, 74, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013.
Freida was born April 9, 1938, in Hallsville, MO, to Harold and Maureen Long. She graduated from Southeast High School, Kansas City, MO, in 1956 and married Wayne Meek in 1958. In about 1981, Freida became a displayer for Home Interiors and Gifts, until 2006.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ronald Alan Meek, in 1979, at the age of 14, to cancer.
Freida is survived by her husband, Wayne Meek; son, Marvin Lee Meek and wife, Margaret and their children, Katie, Bryan, Tyler and Jaryd; and son, Norman Charles Meek and his wife, Joy, of Oak Hills, CA.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2013 and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 11, 2013, both at DW Newcomer's Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
