Mr. Garey Hursman

Garey W. Hursman, 65, Overland Park, passed away unexpectedly at his home June 23, 2009. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Ave., Leawood. A visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, also at the church. Cremation will take place after the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, 6405 Metcalf, Suite 405, Overland Park, KS 66214.
He recently retired from Coca Cola after 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louella Hursman; son-in-law Doug Jordan, and his beloved dog, Bailey.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Joyce; daughter Kristen Hursman; daughter Alyssa Hursman-Jordan; brothers and sister, Bobby, J.R., Carl, Tom, Patty and David; Tom and Lauri Lemen, who were considered a daughter and son-in-law; eight grandchildren, Skyler, Ashley, Cameron, Kaleb, Dalton, Tristan, Zhaun and Karessa, and mother-in-law Adrienne Layton.
