Garland John James, 78, passed away February 25, 2016. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 Sunday, February 28th at Westside Family Church, 8500 Woodsonia Dr, Lenexa, KS 66227. Funeral services will be at church 2:00 pm Monday, February 29th with an entombment 10:00 am Tuesday, March 1st at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Garland served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1960 and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, Garland also was an active member at the Westside Family Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dica and Garland; wife, Wilma. Survivors include his sons, Neil, Wesley, Eric (Robin); grandchildren, Season, Darian, Kayla, Kristen, Rachel, Ryan, Katie; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Ellen, Verna, JoAnn (Vernan); and brother, Jimmy (Sandy).
