Gary Tooley

Gary L. Tooley, 67, of Kansas City passed away Jan. 5, 2013. Gary was born in Lebanon, MO on Feb. 2, 1945. In 1968 he joined the US Navy, after being honorably discharged in 1971 he returned to the metro area, and worked for ADT for 39 years. In his retirement Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Gary was proceeded in death by his parents; Hobart and Gertie (Rector) Tooley; brother; James Edward Tooley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Elaine Tooley; sons; David (Brenda) Rush, Todd (Ange) Rush; grandchildren; Elena, Connor, Anthony, Alec Rush. Gary is also survived by his brothers; Earnest (Joan) Tooley, Richard (Vickie) Tooley, Larry G. Tooley and sister; Janice (Mel) Burns, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday Jan. 10 at 10AM at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf Ave. Overland Park, KS 66210. Visitation will be held the night before from 6-8PM at the Johnson County Chapel. Interment will follow the celebration of life on Thursday.
