Gaylord D. Robinson, 63, and Dian L. Robinson, 61, of La Vista, Nebraska, formerly of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on July 28, 2007, in an auto accident in western Colorado.
Gaylord was born October 10, 1943, in Emporia, Kansas. He retired from Kansas City Power and Light in 2000, as Superintendent, and was currently co-owner of Side Pockets, Papillion, Nebraska. He was a member of the IBEW. Gaylord served in the United States Marine Corps Infantry from 1961 to 1965. He enjoyed wood-working, playing pool, fishing and spending time with his family. Dian was born August 22, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri. Dian was a homemaker and mother and later worked as a bank teller and at Russell Stovers. She also was a partner with Gaylord at Side Pockets. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, scrap booking, and especially her grandchildren.
Gaylord and Dian were married on November 17, 1965. They were an inspiration to all with their love for each other.
They are survived by their children, Jeff Robinson (Patti); Jennifer Thomas (Mike); six grandchildren, Alexander, Noah, Bradley, Michael, Channa Clare, and Jordan; Gaylord?s father, Eugene Robinson; Gaylord?s brother, Keith Robinson (Terry); Dian?s sister, Sandra Yeomans (Sim), and two brother?s, Michael Corazin (Priscilla), and Frank Corazin (Lynn); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4th at DW Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. The visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday August 3rd at the chapel.
