Mrs. Genna Smith

Mrs. Gabrielle Genevieve (Hardy) Smith “Genna” passed away peacefully at the University of Kansas Medical Center on 12/18/2016 in Kansas City, KS at the age of 51.
Genna is survived by her parents, Jim and Charlotte (Robertson) Hardy of Glendale, Arizona; husband Allen, children Shawn, Kaitlynn, and Reilly of Overland Park, Kansas; Sister Shawna Aronow, Marana, AZ.
Genna was born on 12/13/1964 in Phoenix, Arizona to Jim and Charlotte Hardy. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989. She spent her career working for the Arizona Attorney General’s office before deciding to become a stay at home mom in 2003. She married Allen, April 26th 1997 in Tucson Arizona. They relocated to Overland Park, Kansas in 2005 and called it home.
Genna was a loving and generous mother and wife. She graced the presence of everyone around her and brought joy to so many hearts.
A funeral is scheduled for January 21st, 11:00am to 11:30 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with a reception to follow. Mr. Craigg Young will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Genna’s life. The family would like to thank University of Kansas Medical Center for their care and dedication. Craigg and Karen Young for their support and guidance. The Stanger family and all others who prayed for Genna and her family.
