George G. Holloway Jr., 82, Overland Park passed away Monday, July 28, 2008. George was born March 28, 1926 to George G. Sr. and Marie McElwain Holloway in Hutchinson, Kansas, where he spent his childhood. He attended Hutchinson Community College before serving in the Army during WW II. He continued his education at Kansas State University where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and received his BS in Business Administration. He was employed by Sears and Roebuck for approximately 25 years. He was a member of Leawood United Methodist Church.
George was preceded in death by his first wife Suzette Wallace Holloway who died in 1977. Survivors include his wife of 25years, Natalie; Daughter, Linda (Chuck) Hutchinson and children Laura and Brian of Sugarland, Tx.; Son, Steve (Beth) Holloway and child William Haden; Stepdaughters, Laurie (JT) Tuley and children Shannon and Whitney and Karen Anderson (Lee Zimmerman) all of Overland Park, Kansas.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 1st at Leawood United Methodist Church, 2915 W. 95th St., Leawood, Kansas. Visitation will begin an hour prior to service times.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Leawood United Methodist Church or Kansas State University Alumni Association 1720 Alumni Center Manhattan Kansas 66506 Attn: Amy Renz.
