George Kimball

April 17, 1926 — November 15, 2022

Overland Park

George W. Kimball was born Collinsville, OK on April 17, 1926 and peacefully left his earthly body on November 15, 2022.

After retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1965, he attended Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary and continued his life calling of pastoring and sharing with others the redemptive love of Jesus Christ.  He and his beloved wife Betty planted churches in Hutchinson, KS and Rockford, IL before retiring to Broken Arrow, OK in 1991.  They have enjoyed independent living at Tallgrass Creek Retirement Community in Overland Park, KS since 2014.

George is survived by his wife of 76 years, Betty L. “Ene” Dollard and their two daughters, Sherry and Nita.  Their two sons, Randy and Dwayne, preceded their parents in death.  They have three grandsons, two granddaughters, seven great grandchildren, and are expecting their first great, great grandchild in December.

During his decades of loving and counseling people, George led many into a personal relationship with Almighty God through His son Jesus by leading them in a simple prayer similar to:  “Thank you, God, for loving me and for sending your Son, Jesus, to die for me.  I acknowledge that I have sinned against you by going my own way.  I repent now and ask you to forgive me.  I receive Jesus Christ as my personal savior and am turning my entire life over to You.”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prison Discipleship, a ministry George served and generously supported for many years. Donations may be made online at www.prisondiscipleship.com/donate .
