Georgette was born in Cairo, Egypt. She married William Khoury and had three sons Richard, Michael and Paul. Willy, as he was called, worked for TWA and they travelled all over the world – Europe, Africa and Asia. Georgette, Willy and their three boys settled in Kansas in 1960 when he was transferred to Kansas City from Ethiopia. Georgette has five grandchildren; Elaina (Bryan) Boudreau, Rick Khoury, Peggy (Jeff) Bennett, Patrick (Faye) Khoury, Molly Khoury and seven great grandchildren. Georgette taught at St. Paul Episcopal Church School and JCCC as a French teacher for several years. She also decided to go into real estate with her sister Angel Berry of Angel Berry Realty. She remained in real estate until her very last days. Her life philosophy was to remain young and beautiful and not worry about age. She was a real example of that philosophy for when she died at 97 she continued to look young and beautiful. The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU of Overland Regional Hospital for their exceptional care of our mother. We would also like to thank the Sisters Servants of Mary for their compassionate care.
