Georgia L. Shearer, 96, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014.
She was born on August 2, 1917 to Joe and Georgia Saunders in Omaha, NE.
In 1940 Georgia married John "Jack" Shearer. In 1945 they moved to Chicago to Kansas City.
She was a member at the Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Shearer, her parents and two brothers.
She is survived by her two sons, Jack (Gloria) Shearer II and Tom (Debbie) Shearer; five granddaughters; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother Jim Saunders.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210. Graveside service will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131.
