Our mother, 96, passed away December 2 at the Walker Methodist Health Center, surrounded by family. A lifelong resident of Kansas City, she led a rich, full life centered on family, church and community. She loved to cook, entertain, garden and volunteer. She was a charter member of Leawood Presbyterian Church, Leawood, KS, and held offices in the Trinity Lutheran Hospital Medical Auxiliary and many other community organizations. She was married for 60 years to Jack Harold Hill, M.D., who passed away in 1998. Despite the toll of dementia, she lived her final years with style and spirit. She moved to Minnesota three weeks ago to be with family. She is survived by four children: Kirk (Diana Faiella) and Jackie (Donald Christensen) of Minneapolis; Richard (Cindy Bleck) of Kansas City; and Cynthia (Bill Stevens) of St. Paul; two grandchildren: Charles K. Hill, Sioux Falls, SD, and Katherine Breining-Hill, St. Paul.
