Gerry Keith, age 89, passed away October 18, 2012. A visitation will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 10 am also at the Johnson County Chapel. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Following graduation from Central High School in Kansas City, MO, Gerry worked at the Union Station where she sold popcorn and Mexican jewelry. Because of her successful sales career, she was asked by Western Union to work for them. She married Bill Keith in May of 1944. After World War II, Bill and Gerry moved to Roeland Park, KS where they started a family and she began her real estate career. She started Gerry Keith Reality in the 1960's. In 1980, she began teaching Real Estate classes for the Johnson County Board of Realtors and Hardin-Stockton. In 1986 she retired and enjoyed her time on Llama Vista Ranch with her family and friends.
Gerry was preceded in death by her husband Bill Keith. Survivors include daughter Nancy Keith; son Don (Linda) Keith; grandchildren Bill and Christine; brothers Willis (Dorothy) Lee and Larry (Lynn) Lee; and many nieces and nephews.
