Geraldine Stephens

Geraldine Stephens, age 95, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022 at Northland Rehabilitation & Health Care, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born November 15, 1926, the daughter of Preston and Myrtle Emma (Root) Akers.

Geraldine loved spending time visiting with family and friends. While living at Villa Ventura she enjoyed playing Kings Corner and bingo. If you ever asked Geraldine what the most important thing in life to her, she would say her family.

She is survived by her five grandchildren: Timothy, James, Rachel, Kimberly, Susan; and two great-grandchildren: Tabitha and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Lawrence; son, Larry; daughter, Patricia; her brothers: Preston, Edward, and sister Pauline.

Visitation will be from 2-3pm Tuesday January 18, 2022 followed by a 3pm graveside service at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens.
