Gertrude Lichtenberg died at St. Joseph Medical Center on July 15, 2009.
She was born to Ethel and David Rosenberg in Des Moines, Iowa, on Dec. 15, 1914. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Morris Relder and daughter, Michele Spence. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Philip Lichtenberg; daughter, Judy (Don) Wolfe; stepdaughter, Sharon (Larry) Stein; and stepson, Jack (Mary) Lichtenberg. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a long time member of Temple Bnai Jehudah. She will be remembered for her joy of life and her tenacity of spirit! She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, at Rosehill Cemetery, 6900 Troost.
