Glen Eicher, Jr.
March 28, 1933 — June 26, 2015
Glen R. Eicher Jr. of Overland Park, Kansas, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, June 26, 2015. He was born March 28, 1933 in Walsh, Colorado to Johanna & Glen R. Eicher. He graduated from Springfield Senior High School (Central High School), Springfield, Missouri in 1951 and served aboard the Naval Ship, USS George K MacKenzie from February, 1953 to April, 1957. He found his military service to be a fullfilling and valuable experience. He utilized these skills and training in communications, ultimately leading to a lifetime career as an Electronic Engineer.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Smith on January 13, 1962 until her passing in 1999. Joyce was his "Doll" for 37 years and represented the happiest time in his life. They enjoyed travelling extensively, spending time with their families as well as their large church family at Overland Park Baptist Temple.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Ann Eicher, his father Glen R. Eicher Sr, his mother Johanna Dacy Eicher, his sister Janice Kay Eicher and brother-in-law Al Karr.
He is survived by his sister Karen Joann Eicher, Springfield Mo, his sisters and brothers in-law as follows: Barb & Byron Jones of Springfield, MO, Dixie Karr of Riverside MO, and Freda & Darrell Earhart of Phoenixville, PA. Also surviving are neices Erin & Kenton Armstrong, Sabra Zay, Angela Dowell; Nephews Clayton Bridges, Brad & Tammy Jones, Jeffrey & Kathleen Karr, Douglas Earhart, and Stuart Earhart.
He will be missed tremendously by a multitude of friends and many people he held dear to his heart.
