Glenna Dick

Glenna Nell Dick, formerly of Overland Park, Kan., died Dec. 4, 2020 of Alzheimer’s while a resident of Addington Place of Prairie Village.  She was 89.

Mrs. Dick, the youngest of four children, was born May 29, 1931, in Oskaloosa, Kan., to Glenn Louis and Nellie Elizabeth (Brown) Hamm.  In addition to Oskaloosa, Mrs. Dick lived in McLouth, Atchison and Topeka before moving to Van Nuys, Calif., in 1943.  She was a graduate of Van Nuys High School and attended Van Nuys Community College.

She returned to Kansas in 1961 and lived in Perry, where she worked as a bookkeeper at the Bank of Perry for 28 years.

She married Gerald T. Dick on Nov. 24, 1963, and together they lived in Perry, Topeka and Overland Park.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2018.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda McDougall of Overland Park and Cheri (Steven) Nash of Leawood; a stepdaughter, Cheryl (Bill) Tatro of Breckenridge, Colo.; a stepson, Bruce Freeman of Larkspur, Colo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
