Gloria Land

Gloria A. Land, 79, of Olathe, KS, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011. A celebration of Gloria's life will be 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. A gathering of family of friends will follow the service until 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Animal Haven, 9800 West 67th Street, Merriam, KS 66203. Gloria was born March 4, 1932 in Smith Center, KS, to George and Clara Small. She will be remembered for her unconditional love for family and her giving spirit. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband in 2006, Richard E. Land. Her parents also preceded her in death. Survivors include her children: Barry (Nancie) Land, Alan (Melissa) Land, Tamera (Randy) Keefer, and Teresa (John) Wells; brother, Ernest (Norma) Small; sister, Avis Armentrout; nephew, William (Kathy) Randle; great niece, Kasey (Jesse) Biehler; nine grandchildren: Parker Land, Tara Land, Lindsay Land, Luke (Samantha) Land, Curtis Wells, Jake Wells, Nick Keefer, Bryan Keefer, and Courtney Williamson.
