Harold H. Bohn, Jr.

Harold H. Bohn Jr., 78, of Prairie Village, Ks. died on April 4, 2007 at Brighton Gardens. Hod, as he was known to family and friends, was a loving husband and father, an avid tennis player and skier. He was born April 20, 1928 in St. Paul, Minn. He attended St. Thomas College, St. Paul, and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1951. He was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. Hod served in the Air Force in 1946-47 and in the Counter Intelligence Corps in Kyoto, Japan. He married wife, Ann (Worthington), in 1951 and moved to Rio de Janiero, Brazil where he served in the Foreign Service at the American Embassy. They returned to the U.S. in 1953 and Hod joined his father-in-law's firm, G.F. Worthington and Associates, in Des Moines, Iowa. Hod and Ann moved to Kansas City in 1956 where he established the Hod Bohn Corp. Manufacturers' Agents and represented manufacturers of pumps and valves, including Hypro Corp. of St. Paul, Minn., for 45 years. He retired in 1999.

Hod is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann, of Brighton Gardens; a son, Dr. William W. Bohn and his wife, Dr. Angela Noto, of Mission Hills, KS; a daughter, Ceci Rodgers of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren, Will Bohn, Mission Hills and Emily Flock, Chicago, Ill.; and a sister, Janet B. Davison, of Rockford, Ill.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. Burial in Corinth Cemetery, Prairie Village, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
