Jack Peppers, age 87, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007.
Jack was born January 16, 1930, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Harvey and Grace (Dennis) Peppers. He graduated from Argentine High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. For 46 years he was employed by Hallmark Cards, Inc., until he retired as group manager of graphics in 1985. Throughout the years he loved spending time with his family at his vacation home at Lake of the Ozarks. For many years he sang in the church choir, where he often served as soloist for special occasions. He also enjoyed playing golf and attending Chiefs games. He was especially fond of all of his many granddogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mildred Sprague and brother Charles Peppers.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Peppers; daughter and son-in-law Robin and Jeff Langdon; daughter Linda Floyd; granddaughter Stephanie Bacon; great granddaughter Riley Bacon and niece Beverly Lory. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd St., Mission, Kansas. A gathering of family and friends will be held 910 a.m. Wednesday at the church preceding the service. Cremation with inurnment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
